American Low Life is a group of scumbags trying to make rollerblading look as badass as fucking possible. We will be releasing a series of videos, the first being a promo video titled: SHORT CHEAP FLICK, and also some shirts for LOWLIFE supporters to rock which feature Adam's artwork.
Adam Niemara and myself (Nick Norton) are the owners and we collaborate on just about everything, but when it comes down to it, he draws and I film.
At the moment, there is no LOWLIFE team. Every deserving professional in rollerblading already has sponsorship and exposure. LOWLIFE simply exists to offer something real and raw to rollerbladers.

UNLESS I MISSED SOMETHING, AMERICAN LOW LIFE JUST KIND OF ARRIVED OUT OF NOWHERE WITHOUT MUCH FANFARE - BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS AWHILE; WHAT'S THE BACK STORY?
I started shooting skating again this past summer, and decided to give it a serious attempt. I had been hanging out with all the dudes you see in the video for a while, and just decided to start shooting them. Adam had been doing some art pieces I liked, and we started to collaborate.

OTHER THAN ALCOHOL AND REBELLION (hey, those are stand by's!) WHAT INFLUENCES ARE BEING DRAWN ON FOR LOW LIFE?
Other than Alcohol and Rebellion? Sex and Drugs.
I'M SURE THERE'S BEEN AS MUCH LOVE AS HATE TO THE WHOLE 'DRUNK ROCKER' VIBE THAT LOW LIFE DEFINITELY THROWS OFF. WHAT REACTIONS HAVE YOU SEEN SO FAR?
I'm not really aware of the love/hatred concerning rollerblading stereotypes... probably because I don't go on the message-boards, which i assume is the only place this exists.
The image LOWLIFE throws off is just our way of expressing ourselves. We happen to like rock music and we like to get drunk, so invariably that's the vibe you're going to get.
WHAT DOES ROLLERBLADING NEED RIGHT NOW?
Rollerblading needs more heart, and it needs more soul. Rollerblading needs Joey Chase, Matty Schrock, and Michael Braud.
Rollerblading needs more support from actual rollerbladers. We need to feed the industry if we ever hope for it to grow.
Rollerblading needs companies like NIMH.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR LOW LIFE?
SHORT CHEAP FLICK is only a promotional video for the first issue of the American Low Life video series, titled CONTINUOUS FLICK. The content captured so far has been a direct result of supporting rollerbladers like Joey Chase, Michael Braud, and Matty Schrock. Without them, this would not exist.
SHORT CHEAP FLICK is shot entirely in 16mm film, and will be available right around the time of the Bittercold Showdown.
Issue One of the LOWLIFE Video Series, Continuous Flick, will be a full length DVD shot on both film and HD video.
You can also expect more badass art from Adam, and a consistent dose of the aforementioned "influences."
